You can have the greatest, most well planned and developed web site,
but it's useless
if no one sees it. |

Marketing is generally the most
time-consuming process of web site
development . Without it, you may
never get the traffic your site needs to
be successful. And, it never ends.
You must constantly, consistently
refresh, enhance, and maintain your
site, evaluate your hits/traffic, revise
your key words and phrases, and
re-register (we recommend every 60 days,
or prior to a promotion).
Supplemental coding needs to be placed
within the page code. These codes are not visible on
the site.
Each page, at least each top-level page,
needs its own set of unique tags (Title,
Description, Keywords).
- Page Titles
- META tags (Titles, Descriptions, Key Words/Phrases)
- Commented-out tags
- ALT tags (text behind images)
It is important that the
visible text and site content be
supportive (and vice versa) of the
underlying coding.
Many search engines no longer read META
tags. This means that visible text must
be optimized for proper search engine
placement. Headers, sub-headers, text
links, enhancing text to better “weight”
keywords, and other factors will
increase the chance of your site being
well ranked.
The site pages are manually submitted to
top search engines and directories, such
as Google, Alta Vista, Open Directory
and All the Web. Many search engines
disregard automated submission services.
Some even
state they will not index sites
submitted in this fashion.
No search engine guarantees a site will
be listed. We can, however, increase the
chance that a site will be indexed and
ranked highly through a combination of
site content, META tags, page titles,
and other factors. It is
beneficial to uniquely tag and submit
more than one page of a site.
For standard submissions, we recommend
evaluating site placement,
refining/revising tags, and
re-submission:
- Every 60 days, or
- At least 3 weeks prior to a promotion,
or
- When the site is updated or enhanced
Depending upon your needs, we can
submit a monthly or quarterly
maintenance proposal.
