Leadership

Expert Approach, Inc. was founded in 2006 by LD Herrera, a U.S. military spouse who was relocated from Omaha to Washington, DC and then to Anchorage, Alaska.  His wife's military retirement and a desire to spend time with family brought him and his family to Vermillion, SD in 2015.

With over 3 decades of experience in the IT field, Mr. Herrera serves as President, CEO, and Chief Technology Specialist for Expert Approach, Inc.

Education is the key providing great services to his clients.  He started his higher education at Creighton University where he was enrolled during his Junior year in high school.  After completing high school, he attended Carnegie Mellon University.  He holds a BS in Marketing, an MS in Cybersecurity Technology, and is currently enrolled in the Cyber Defense PhD program at Dakota State University.  He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). But he's also been battling viruses, malware, and vulnerabilities since the early nineties.

In addition to leading Expert Approach, Inc., he also has a long history of donating his time to his local community.  He has been VP of the Vermillion Area Swim Team (VAST), a founding director of the Optimist Club of Vermillion, a coach and treasurer of Vermillion Youth Soccer League (VYSL), and the founder and Executive Director of Robotics of Vermillion (ROV).
